Delay in Refund of Amount for Flight cancelled by Airlines Booked on Makemytrip and Pathetic Customer service

I am writing to formally escalate a serious issue regarding a flight booking made through makemytrip platform on 27th Dec 2025, for 1 passenger from Indigo flight DXB to IXC Round trip. Partial booking was canceled by Airlines. Therefore, raised Special request on 24th March 2026 from Makemytrip App to get the Refund. But, i have not received any refund amount.

I have contacted makemytrip customer care to know the status, but there is no possible way to connect to Makemytrip agents. I am trying contact makemytrip customer care numbers 0124 462 8747 and (0124) 5045105, waited for almost 15 minutes multiple times, but it never connected.

This experience has not only caused financial loss but also severe mental harassment and disruption to our planned trip.

As per the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, this constitutes to deficiency in service and unfair trade practices. I now demand the following:

Immediate refund of the booking amount of Rs.19593/-

If I do not receive a resolution within 7 working days, I will be filing a complaint with the Consumer Court, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, and escalate this matter publicly via social media and legal channels, including naming the CEO and company representatives involved.

I hope MakeMyTrip values its customers and takes responsibility for its system failures.

Please follow the steps mentioned below. If you have already contacted the Make my Trip customer care via email and have not received any response, kindly share the relevant details with us so that we may guide you further.

We recommend that you first send an email to the customer care department of the Make my Trip (grievanceofficer@makemytrip.com), clearly outlining your concerns and requesting for Compensation and also ask them to Refund the amount.

This step not only gives the Make my Trip a chance to compensate and refund but also helps strengthen your case if you decide to file a complaint with the Consumer Forum later..
