Complaint Against MakeMyTrip (MMT)for Incomplete Refund Despite Full Airline Reimbursement

I am writing to formally lodge a complaint against MakeMyTrip (MMT) regarding an unresolved refund issue arising from a flight cancellation.

I had booked a flight through MakeMyTrip, which was subsequently cancelled by the airline. As per my understanding and confirmation received, the airline had processed a full refund to MakeMyTrip. However, despite this, MakeMyTrip has refunded only a partial amount to me, withholding the remaining balance without valid justification.

Following the cancellation, I made multiple attempts to contact MakeMyTrip’s customer support team. Each time, I was assured by their executives that the remaining refund amount would be processed soon. Unfortunately, these assurances have not been honored to date. Despite repeated follow-ups, there has been no resolution, and the pending amount remains unpaid.

Additionally, I would like to highlight the extreme difficulty I faced in trying to connect with their customer care service. The process is unnecessarily complicated and time-consuming, making it very challenging for customers to seek support or resolution. This lack of accessible customer service has further aggravated the issue.

This experience has caused me financial inconvenience and considerable frustration. In hindsight, I regret using a third-party platform like MakeMyTrip for booking and believe it would have been more transparent and reliable to book directly through the airline.

Please follow the steps mentioned below. If you have already contacted the company via email or customer care and have not received any response, kindly share the relevant details with us so that we may guide you further.

We recommend that you first send an email to the customer care department of the Make my Trip (grievanceofficer@makemytrip.com), clearly outlining your concerns and requesting for Compensation and also ask them to Refund the amount.

This step not only gives the Make my Trip a chance to compensate and refund but also helps strengthen your case if you decide to file a complaint with the Consumer Forum later..
