Subject: Complaint Against ICICI Lombard General Insurance Co. Ltd. for Deficiency in Service – Non-Renewal of Insurance Policy

Respected Sir/Madam,I, Rawoofa Begum, resident of Bangalore, hereby submit this complaint against ICICI Lombard General Insurance Company Limited for deficiency in service and unfair trade practice under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.I have a policy of ICICI Lombard holding Policy No. [4171i/ASP/233061910/03/000], valid up to [25-NOV-2025]. Prior to the expiry of the policy, I made multiple attempts through phone calls and emails requesting renewal of the said policy. Despite my continuous follow-ups and willingness to renew the policy within the stipulated time, ICICI Lombard failed to process or extend the renewal.No proper response, confirmation, or assistance was provided by the company, resulting in the policy lapsing solely due to their inaction and negligence. This has caused me significant mental stress, inconvenience, and financial risk, especially considering the importance of uninterrupted insurance coverage.The failure of ICICI Lombard to renew the policy despite repeated reminders constitutes a clear deficiency in service, negligence, and violation of my rights as a consumer.I request the Hon’ble Commission to kindly cognizance of this complaintDirect ICICI Lombard to take responsibility for their lapseOrder suitable compensation for mental agony and inconvenience causedGrant any other relief deemed fit in the interest of justiceI am enclosing copies of relevant documents, including policy details and communication records, for your reference.Kindly consider my complaint and provide justice at the earliest.
