I purchased a TVS Ronin (Glacier Silver) bike from Flipkart during their GOAT Sale on 11th July 2025 at 2:31 AM, shortly after the sale began at midnight. The product was listed with a 9% discount on MRP along with bank offers. This offer price with discount was live from 5th June to 26th July 2025. Even today, Flipkart lists multiple two-wheelers at up to 10% discount — so this was not a one-off “error price” but an ongoing, advertised offer. I made full advance payment of ₹1,33,482, including applicable charges (like Offer Handling Fee etc.).
The first delivery date given was 22nd July, later pushed to 31st July. On 30th July at 8:30 PM, I received a call from the dealer stating they would not deliver the bike unless I pay an additional amount, as Flipkart claims the listed price was an “error”, "offer is expired now", and from TVS dealership “Manager has instructed not to deliver at the discounted ex-showroom price".
Flipkart never communicated this earlier, nor provided anything in writing about: Why the extra amount is being asked Who is asking for it What resolution is being taken etc..
Initial delivery date: 22nd July 2025 Offer price end date: 26th July 2025 Delivery date rescheduled to 31st July 2025 Later again rescheduled to 6th August and then to 10th August and now currently 13th August, 2025. On 30th July at 8:30 PM, the dealer called stating they would not deliver the bike, they wont even order the bike if I do not pay ₹14,853 to the dealer directly, without any invoice or proof of payment. No prior written or verbal intimation was given by Flipkart or TVS, not even after asking multiple times. And I came to know of this demand just a day before registration and delivery, after 19 days. Upon repeated follow-ups and multiple support tickets (which Flipkart kept closing without resolution), I learned that Flipkart is demanding I pay extra amount over the agreed ex-showroom price to get delivery — effectively holding my purchase hostage.
I raised multiple complaints with Flipkart support and their grievance office, but all tickets were closed without resolution. Flipkart also repeatedly pressured me to cancel the order and place a new order at the full current price, which is unfair and unacceptable. Now I am being played between Flipkart, TVS and dealership, everyone putting the blame to others in a circle. If I cancel and reorder, new delivery will take another two months, meaning I will have waited over three months for a product I have already fully paid for. And I have to bear the EMI interest, foreclosure charges and other charges on the EMI. Impact on Me: This incident has caused severe mental stress and loss of peace of mind. I am a software engineer, and the daily calls, mails and follow-ups, from morning to night, have affected my work performance. I purchased this bike to commute to my office daily, but due to the non-delivery, I am spending ₹500 per day on alternate commute in the rainy season. My loan has started and I have already paid the first EMI installments, interest, processing fee, GST and other charges. Flipkart never communicated this demand directly beforehand nor provided any written explanation.
I filed 2 complaints on NCH (Docket No. 7618389 and 7618841) on 8 August 2025 due to repeated delays and harassment from Flipkart and TVS.
Instead of resolving my issue, the seller and Flipkart unilaterally cancelled the order on 13 August 2025 at 10:30 PM, just after lodging the complaint, citing "out of stock" as the reason. This is false and misleading because I have solid evidence from both Flipkart and the TVS dealership that:
If I pay an additional ₹14,853 (difference to current price), they can deliver the bike within 48–72 hours.
On 10 August 2025, when I visited the dealership, they confirmed the bike was physically available in stock and currently being unloaded, and that registration could start within 24 hours upon payment of the extra amount.
Now they forced me to place a new order whose current price is 1.6L and is not in any offer and I have no option but to place the order at full price.
They refunded only ₹1,33,482 but I bear financial loss due to their mishandlings.
The dealership even engaged furiously with me in call regarding the price and he is repeatedly asking for ₹14,853 to process the order immediately and that communication has been sent to him by TVS regional head and flipkart representative. Flipkart asked me to cancel the order, place a new order and for this they will give me ₹500 as gift voucher !!
Please note: This entire issue revolves around the ex-showroom component, of the 2-wheeler, which was clearly committed at the time of booking and paid in full by me. Product link - https://www.flipkart.com/tvs-ronin-mid-booking-ex-showroom-price/p/itme364e5aa7b4af
