I, Harsh Tomar, wish to file a formal complaint against Universal Sompo General Insurance Co. Ltd. regarding the wrongful repudiation of my motor insurance claim. In addition to my earlier submissions, I would like to bring the following serious concerns to your notice:
1. I have made multiple attempts to contact the insurance company through emails and phone calls over the past several months. However, I did not receive any proper response, guidance, or assistance from their end. I am ready to provide all email records and call history as proof of the same.
2. The claim was rejected without any proper spot verification or fair investigation being conducted in my presence. No opportunity was given to me to clarify facts before repudiating the claim.
3. The repudiation was done after an unreasonable delay of more than 4 months. This delay itself raises serious questions, as no insurance company normally takes such excessive time to process a claim without valid reason.
4. I would also like to bring to your notice that the investigator, Mr. Hemant, informally approached/pressured for money during the claim process. After my refusal, the claim appears to have been wrongfully rejected. This raises serious concerns regarding the fairness and integrity of the investigation process.
5. Due to this delay and wrongful rejection, I have suffered financial loss, including paying heavy parking charges for my vehicle, along with continuous mental stress and harassment.
6. Despite repeated follow-ups, the insurance company failed to act in a transparent and fair manner and instead proceeded with repudiation based on unverified and disputed statements.
I request your good office to kindly take strict action and:
• Direct the insurer to provide complete investigation records and proof.
• Review the wrongful repudiation on merit.
• Direct the insurer to settle my claim at the earliest.
• Take appropriate action against unfair practices and misconduct involved in the claim process. I am ready to submit all supporting documents, including email records, call logs and call recording , and additional evidence as required. I sincerely request your intervention to ensure justice in this matter.
