I would like to file a complaint against Professional Couriers for the unreasonable delay in delivering my parcel and the resulting loss caused.
A courier package with Tracking ID: TRZ275014874 was sent from Tamil Nadu to Haryana and was promised to be delivered within a maximum of 4 days. For this service, I paid ₹2500 for a 5 kg package (approximately ₹500 per kg) specifically to ensure faster delivery.
However, the package was delayed for nearly two weeks and was delivered only today, far beyond the promised delivery timeline. The parcel contained perishable edible items, and due to this excessive delay, the items are now almost expired and at risk of becoming unusable.
Additionally, there was no proper communication or update from the courier service regarding the delay, which caused significant inconvenience and concern.
By charging a premium amount for quick delivery and failing to deliver within the promised timeframe, the courier service has shown clear negligence and deficiency in service.
I therefore request the consumer authority to:
Direct the courier company to refund the courier charges of ₹2500, as the promised service was not provided.
Provide appropriate compensation for the loss and inconvenience caused due to the delay and the risk of spoilage of perishable items.
Take necessary action against the service provider for misleading assurances and poor service.
