Evening Sir / Madam,
I sent an email to the Grievance Team of HDFC ERGO GENERAL INSURANCE TODAY with the following data mentioned below to the following email id cgo@hdfcergo.com.
I hold a Health Wallet Policy from HDFC ERGO & the Policy Details is mentioned below.
Policy Holder Name : RAJA KRISHNA LAKSHMAN
Policy Number : 2803 2038 7050 6805
Policy Inception Date : 2 May 2024
Policy Issuance Date : 2 May 2025
Policy Expiry Date : 1 May 2026
Patient Name : Raja Krishna Lakshman
Address : Krishna Villa, Near Sindhoora Junction, Punnapra PO, Alappuzha, 688004, Kerala. Contact Number : 9605859940.
Treatment Done at Believers Church Medical College Hospital, St Thomas Nagar, Kuttapuzha, Thiruvalla, Kerala, 689105. Phone number 04692703100
I would like to bring to your attention that I underwent the treatment yesterday, 2nd February 2026, without waiting for your approval as the Preauthorization was denied & as I wasn't in a condition to delay it, and made all relevant payments from my pocket.
I'm currently unable to visit the hospital & if you require me to fill out reimbursement forms it isn't possible.
I cannot put my feet down due to severe pain, making this requirement illogical. I did ask for cashless facility during Preauthorization to avoid all these unnecessary processes.
I request a refund based on the attached bills excluding travel expenses. If not, I'll consider this a 'Deficiency in Service' by HDFC, as PRP treatment for plantar fascia pain isn't cosmetic. HDFC's rejection of pre-authorization was unprofessional, and denying necessary treatment is a violation of my right to life under Article 21. The treatment aimed to relieve severe pain in heel due to plantar fascia, unlike for cosmetic purposes as per the pre-authorization denial reason from HDFC ERGO.
I discharged myself after the procedure was completed to avoid additional hospital charges, room rent, related other fees, etc., from my pocket due to HDFC ERGO's service deficiency. Technically I was in need to stay in Hospital due to severe uncomforting pain in heel, after treatment was done but HDFC forced me to vacate the hospital as it was not possible for me to pay all the unnecessary expenses, which I would have had to pay due to HDFC ERGO Unprofessional measures adopted.
I expect a resolution from your end.
Attached are the bills/receipts/procedure charges for the treatment done yesterday.
Best Regards
Raja Krishna
