Respected Sir/Madam,
I am writing this email to formally lodge a consumer complaint against IDFC First Bank regarding an unauthorized loan account and continuous harassment by the bank’s recovery team.
Details of Complaint
I have been wrongly linked to Loan Account No. 30842245, which, as per the bank, was issued in the year 2020. I would like to clearly state that:- I have never applied for or borrowed any loan from IDFC First Bank in 2020 or at any time.
- The bank has informed me that this loan was connected to Flipkart gift vouchers through Flexi Money.
- I have never received any gift vouchers, nor have I redeemed any vouchers or made any purchases using such codes.
Continuous Harassment & Mental Stress
For the last five years, I have been receiving repeated and threatening calls from IDFC First Bank’s recovery department. Despite informing them multiple times that the loan is not mine, the harassment continues.This fraudulent loan activity has also severely impacted my CIBIL score and credit history, causing me financial loss, mental stress, and reputational harm.
Failure of Bank to Provide Resolution
I have visited the IDFC loan branch several times to seek clarification, but no proper assistance or investigation has been provided.Request to Consumer Court
I request the Hon’ble Consumer Court to kindly take necessary action against IDFC First Bank and direct them to:- Conduct a full investigation into who redeemed the gift vouchers.
- Provide complete transaction details, including product purchases and delivery address.
- Submit documentary proof of loan initiation, approval, and disbursement.
- Immediately stop all recovery calls and harassment.
- Correct my credit/CIBIL records and provide compensation for mental harassment and financial damage.
Relief Sought
I request urgent intervention and appropriate legal action against the bank for deficiency in service, negligence, and unfair recovery practices.Kindly treat this complaint as urgent and guide me on the next steps for filing the case formally.
