Subject: Complaint Against IndusInd Bank for Unjustified Debit Freeze and financial hardship
Respected Sir/Madam,
I, Dr Ajinkya Khambalkar, residing at Bramhapuri, wish to file a complaint under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 against IndusInd Bank Ltd. for causing financial hardship and mental distress due to an unjustified debit freeze on my IndusInd Indie account (A/c No. 188830754241).
The bank froze my account without prior notice or valid reason, and despite repeated follow-ups with bank, the issue remains unresolved. I am unable to access my own funds in this Diwali festive period causing immense trouble for me and my family.
When called customer care service, they asked to visit bank branch which is not possible as nearest branch is 56 kms away and for that I will have to travel which requires money and I have to take leave for which my salary will approx 7k per day which is great loss for me.
This constitutes deficiency in service and unfair trade practice.
I therefore request the Hon’ble Forum to:
1. Direct IndusInd Bank to immediately release or refund my account balance.
2. Award suitable compensation for harassment, financial loss, and mental distress.
3. Grant legal costs and any other relief deemed appropriate.
