I purchased a Lenovo laptop in Jan-2026. Since shortly after purchase i.e after a month, I have repeatedly faced Bluetooth disconnection issues, and more recently Wi-Fi connectivity problems.

Lenovo/support has already:
  • conducted multiple troubleshooting/remote sessions;
  • asked me to reinstall/update drivers;
  • performed Windows reset and other troubleshooting;
  • replaced the same suspected component three times, with the third replacement on 23-06-2026.

The Bluetooth problem continued even after the third replacement, and I have 20 videos showing further occurrences. I have also documented WLAN failures.

I requested a permanent resolution and subsequently requested replacement/refund because the issue has continued despite repeated service interventions.

Lenovo recently replied that my laptop does not qualify for a DOA replacement/refund because the DOA period is 7 days. However, I never made a DOA claim. I specifically requested a resolution based on the persistent defect and repeated unsuccessful service attempts.

Lenovo is currently offering further troubleshooting/part replacement, which I have declined because the same issue has already continued after three replacements.

My questions are:
  1. Does Lenovo's 7-day DOA policy actually answer/reject my request, even though I did not claim DOA?
  2. Can a consumer seek replacement/refund through the Consumer Commission where a defect persists despite repeated warranty repairs/replacements?
  3. What documents/evidence would be important to establish the case?
  4. Would this ordinarily be considered a deficiency in service under the Consumer Protection Act?
  5. Is it worthwhile approaching NCH first before filing before the Consumer Commission
