I purchased the above vehicle (Kia Seltos - Petrol) in March,2022, from the Company's authorised dealer West Coast Kia Motors, Ambawadi,Ahmedabad
On 17/11/2025, suddenly my Car A.C. stopped working and hence, I took the vehicle to the West Coast Kia Service centre, Sola, Ahmedabad for check up.
After full check up, on 20/11/2025 ,the Service officer advised me that "Emery in System has caused the problem and thus A.C System requires replacement". He also sent me the estimate of Rs.44828.62 for getting the system in place.
I am really surprised and shocked to learn that my Kia Seltos (petrol) compressor is full of pipe burr (Emry), which is never possible. It's a clear case of MANUFACTURING DEFECT and negligence that without any quality check, the Compressor is fitted into my car.
I also enquired with other experts in Air Conditioning industry and mechanics manufacturing the A.C Compressors who opined that the genuine manufacturers of A. C. Compressor and system suppliers are supposed to clean the burr thoroughly and only after quality test checks, the system is supplied to the Customers. Then, the A C System remains burr free all throughout its lifetime and It does not cause problems - say after just 3-5 years.
Hence, there is no reason why this burr (Emry) could have accumulated, within a period of 3-4 years, causing a stoppage of A C system in my Car. It is only because the process of burr cleaning has not been implemented at the manufacturing stage thoroughly, with proper quality check.
I, therefore, requested the Kia Service Centre, Sola, Ahmedabad vide my mail dated 21/11/2025 to replace the A C System, with the new one, at their own cost, as my Car is hardly three & half years old, as this issue can not arise during its lifetime,unless there is a manufacturing defect. BUT TILL DATE, THERE IS NO POSITIVE RESPONSE FROM THEIR END.
Hence, I submit herewith, my application and request you to direct the concerned Kia Car Service Centre to do the needful in the matter.
As of now, I am not claiming any compensation for the mental agony me & my family going through due to the defective A.C. system provided to me.BUT if my complaint is not attended to - say latest by 30/11/2025, I will be compelled to claim compensation of additional Rs.10,000/- for the mental harrassment, besides the cost of Rs.44,828.64 for supply & fitting of the new A C system in my car.
