Following the failure of our petitions to all departments and authorities of the state government, we are turning to you as the last resort. You must rescue us from the suffering.
We live at 16, 4th Main Road, VGP Layout Part 3, Palavakkam, Chennai 600041. Our house is constructed on one ground (2,400 sq ft). Our neighboring plot (14 & 15) is 6,000 sq ft, and a new construction has been going on for a year, and it's nearing completion. Central air conditioning is being installed in the house.
Five outdoor air conditioners have been installed, facing our windows, which are only a few feet away. Despite having a large plot, they built their building so close to us that there is very little room between us. With each unit about 4 tons, there are about 20 ton air-conditioners facing our windows. Imagine the predicament we would be in if they were activated. The heat and the noise would kill us.
We repeatedly requested the building's owner to move them to their spacious terrace, but to no avail. Despite the fact that they both are physicians, they have no concern for the welfare of their neighbours.
All of the petitions we submitted to the CM Cell, CMDA, Pollution Control Board, Corporation Commissioner, Chennai Mayor, and DC of Police-Adyar were unsuccessful. The entire issue stems from the fact that all of those petitions are routed to the regional office in my area.
The AE, Mr. Murali, who is seated here in Palavakkam, is uncooperative and prevents others from carrying out their duties. He has informed each of those authorities that the matter has been resolved. It's a lie. Since he is in that builder's pocket, he hasn't even come to inspect. He sent a text message over the phone that there is nothing that can be done. We have the message with us.
At this point, we are seeking your assistance in order to end this suffering, which, if left untreated, will haunt us forever.
