I purchased a new KTM Duke 200 (BSVI-PH2) motorcycle on 15-03-2025 from KTM Husqvarna RC Puram. The total amount paid and financed was ₹2,53,812. The vehicle is still under manufacturer warranty.

Within just 10 days of purchase, problems started appearing.

First, the handlebar switch kit stopped working and was replaced under warranty. During replacement, the service centre damaged the left grip and initially asked me to pay for it.

Later, the motorcycle developed a serious horn issue. The horn works only when pressed very hard. In normal riding conditions, pressing lightly does not activate the horn. This creates a safety risk in traffic.

On 22-06-2025, the rear ABS started working intermittently. ABS is a critical safety feature. The service centre replaced the front ABS cable, but even after replacement, ABS failed 6–7 times while riding. Intermittent ABS failure is extremely dangerous.

From September 2025, very serious engine issues began:

  • RPM suddenly jumps from 1000 to 4500 while idling
  • Engine stalls suddenly while riding
  • Strong vibrations
  • Unpredictable performance

These issues create real risk of accident. The engine sometimes stops completely while riding, which is life-threatening.

I gave the vehicle multiple times to:

  • KTM Husqvarna RC Puram
  • KTM Husqvarna Kondapur

Parts replaced under warranty:

  • Handlebar switch kit
  • Front ABS cable
  • TPS sensor
  • Stepper motor
  • Oil filter and air filter

Despite all these replacements, the core problem (RPM fluctuation and sudden stalling) still continues.

I also filed complaints with KTM India. The bike was kept for several days for inspection. However, no permanent solution has been provided.

Because of repeated breakdowns:

  • I spent money on alternate transport
  • I lost time from work
  • I suffered mental stress and anxiety
  • I fear riding the motorcycle due to safety risk

A new motorcycle should not behave like this. Repeated safety-related failures in a new vehicle clearly show manufacturing defect and deficiency in service.

I request:

  1. Replacement of the defective motorcycle with a new vehicle
    OR
  2. Full refund of ₹2,53,812 with interest
  3. Compensation of ₹75,000 for mental agony and inconvenience
  4. Litigation and incidental costs

I have all supporting documents including job cards, payment receipts, complaint emails, and service records.

I request urgent action as this is a serious safety matter.
