I had enrolled in a Full Stack Developer course offered by an online learning platform called Newton School. The course duration was six months, and they promised job placement after completion. The total course fee was ₹2,00,000, which they converted into EMIs through a finance company named Propelled.
Even after completing the course and waiting for eight months, they did not provide me with any job. During this time, I continued paying around ₹6,200 every month as EMI. Later, I found out that many other students had also been trapped in a similar way, where they were lured with job placement guarantees and then pushed into loans.
Since I did not get any job despite their assurance and after realizing it was a trap, I stopped making payments. As a result, my credit score has been badly affected, and I have started receiving threatening calls from Propelled. They even sent representatives to my home to demand payment.
