Dear Consumer Forum,
I am filing this complaint regarding an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience after purchasing a Samsung Galaxy Book4 laptop for 33089 /- through Flipkart.
On receiving the product, the open-box delivery could not be properly completed as the laptop was completely out of charge. I trusted both Samsung and Flipkart’s reputation and proceeded to set up the device after charging it. After nearly an hour of setup and updates, I played a video on YouTube to test the audio only to discover that the sound output was extremely low, barely audible, even at maximum volume.
I immediately tried to initiate a return on Flipkart, but was redirected to contact Samsung Electronics service center.
At the service center, I was informed that this was “not a defect” and that this low audio output is how this model actually functions. Shockingly, the representative even admitted that all customers purchasing this model have raised the same issue.
This effectively means the product has a known manufacturing defect, yet it is still being actively sold without any disclosure, which is misleading and unfair to consumers.
Despite repeated attempts through both Flipkart and Samsung support, I have been denied a replacement or refund.
What was meant to be a special gift for my cousin has turned into a stressful, time-consuming, and disappointing ordeal.
