I had placed a food order on Swiggy, and upon receiving it, I noticed that the food had a foul smell and was clearly stale. I immediately attempted to contact Swiggy’s customer support, only to discover that they do not provide an IVR or call service for customers to reach them directly. I then tried to raise the issue through their app, where I was informed that an expert would contact me within 6 to 8 working hours. However, the chat was abruptly closed from their end and no further response was received. Since the food was inedible, I had no option but to throw it away, but before doing so, I took photographs of it as evidence. The following day, after still not hearing from them, I sent an email explaining the issue, but they refused to provide a refund without offering any proper reason. I even requested that they check my order history to confirm that I had never raised any refund claims before, in case they suspected fraudulent intent. Despite this, I received no satisfactory resolution. Left with no other option, I posted my experience on Twitter (now X), tagging the Swiggy team. While they responded saying they would speak to the restaurant and ensure this doesn't happen again, they did not offer any apology or refund for the inconvenience caused. I am attaching my bill and relevant images of the spoiled food as evidence. I am deeply disappointed with the way this issue was handled and request appropriate action against such negligence.
