I want to lodge a formal complaint against Goibibo regarding an improper refund of my flight cancellation.
  • I booked a SpiceJet flight (PNR: MSY7C5) for ₹5,536 using a Go-confirmed voucher (₹2,780) and paid the remaining amount (₹3,819).
  • The flight was cancelled due to a technical server error, and I was informed only at 1:00 AM, after incurring a ₹2,000 non-refundable cab expense.
  • Though a full refund was promised, Goibibo is processing only ₹3,304 after deducting ₹437 (service charge) and ₹1,717 (effective discount).

These deductions are unjustified, as the cancellation was entirely due to the airline/Goibibo’s error and not mine. Also, the PNR for my flight bookings were also invalid as confirmed from SpiceJet office.

I request immediate resolution and refund of the full amount and also the voucher value, i.e., total of ₹6,599.

This is not the first time, I have faced such refund irregularities with Goibibo, particularly in relation to GoConfirmed bookings. There appears to be a consistent pattern of withholding legitimate refunds under arbitrary deductions and/ server issues, which amounts to deficiency in service, unfair trade practice, and breach of consumer trust.
