To Customer Care Department ICICI Bank Respected Sir/Madam, My father had taken a Home Loan in 2007 from The Bank Of Rajasthan LTd, which was later merged into ICICI Bank in 2011. The loan tenure was 15 years, which should have been completed in 2022. However, even today, the EMIs are still being deducted. When I enquired with the bank, I was informed that the loan was given on an MCLR rate. But, as per my Loan Agreement signed with ICICI Bank, the loan is on a fixed interest rate of 9.5%, and it is clearly mentioned that the loan will be completed in 174 instalments. Despite this, deductions are still continuing. In addition, the bank has changed my loan account number without proper clarification. From 2007 to August 2011, my loan was deducted under account number LOAN1660LAPN100052 (clearly visible in my passbook). In August 2011, the bank changed it to RBKOT00001860109. This account number change, without providing historical statements from 2007 to 2011, raises serious concerns about transparency. Furthermore, whenever I request the complete loan statement, the bank only provides it from 2011 onwards. I have repeatedly requested the statement from 2007, but no response has been given. This is highly unprofessional and is causing unnecessary financial and mental stress to my father. For your reference and convenience, I am attaching: 1. Copy of the original Loan Agreement (showing sanction date in 2007 and fixed interest rate). 2. Bank statements provided (showing incorrect start year as 2011). 3. Passbook entries showing the original loan account number used from 2007–2011. It is evident from these documents that: • The loan was sanctioned in 2007, not 2011. • The agreed tenure has already ended in 2022. • The bank is misleading us and continuing to take money beyond the agreed loan period. • The loan account number change without providing complete historical data is highly irregular. I request you to: • Provide the complete loan statement from 2007 till date. • Immediately close the loan if the tenure has already been completed as per agreement. • Refund any excess amount charged after the agreed tenure. If I do not receive a proper resolution within 7 working days, I will be left with no choice but to file a complaint with the Consumer Court, as I have all the documentary evidence.
