We booked a Himachal Pradesh tour with Tripifive Travel Agency in March 2026, trusting the company based on the itinerary and hotel details provided to us at the time of booking. Before making the payment, we were given a PDF clearly mentioning the proposed itinerary and hotel names, which gave us confidence that the promised arrangements would be provided. However, once the tour actually began, we were shocked and deeply disappointed to find that the commitments made at the time of booking were not followed. The hotels provided to us were completely different from those mentioned in the booking document. In Manali, Kasol and Shimla, instead of the promised accommodation, we were given properties that were more like basic lodges and were nowhere close to what had been represented to us while taking our booking. The overall experience was made even worse by the poor and unacceptable quality of food, which was extremely disappointing considering that meals were part of the package we had paid for.

What hurt us the most was the attitude of the management when we raised genuine concerns during the trip. When we tried to communicate our problems and requested an appropriate refund for the services that were not being provided as promised, Mr. Durgesh, the owner/representative of Tripifive, instead of listening to our concerns or attempting to resolve the situation professionally, allegedly became abusive and disrespectful towards us. We were told that no refund would be given and that, if we were unhappy, we could discontinue the tour. We made it very clear that we were not asking for a refund without reason—we were asking for an appropriate refund because the services and arrangements promised to us before booking were not being delivered. Despite explaining our situation, our concerns were dismissed, and the response we received was essentially, “Jo karna hai kar lo, hamara aise hi hai.”

Imagine being away from home on a holiday, having paid your hard-earned money for a promised travel experience, and then being forced to deal with poor accommodation, unacceptable food and disrespectful behaviour when you simply ask for the services you were promised. We approached Tripifive in good faith and expected them to take responsibility for the package they had sold us, but instead we felt helpless, ignored and cheated as customers. This was not merely a case of a minor inconvenience during a holiday; from our experience, there was a serious difference between what was represented to us at the time of booking and what was actually delivered. We are raising this complaint because we believe consumers deserve transparency, accountability and respectful treatment, and no customer should have to silently accept such an experience after paying for a service in advance.

Hello @hitesh karande

We have carefully reviewed your complaint against Tripifive Travel Agency, Bhandup West, Mumbai.

As per your submission, you booked a Himachal Pradesh tour with Tripifive in March 2026 and paid ₹1,03,000 based on a PDF itinerary provided to you before payment, which clearly mentioned the hotels and arrangements. However, once the tour commenced, the hotels provided in Manali, Kasol, and Shimla were entirely different from those promised — basic lodge-level properties instead of the committed accommodations. The quality of food, which was part of the package, was also unacceptable.

What made the situation far worse was the behaviour of Mr. Durgesh, the owner/representative of Tripifive, when you raised your concerns. Instead of addressing your grievances professionally, he allegedly became abusive and disrespectful, flatly refused any refund, and told you that if you were unhappy you could simply leave the tour. His response of “Jo karna hai kar lo, hamara aise hi hai” is completely unacceptable for a paying customer who was only asking for the services they were promised.

Before filing a case at e-jagriti.gov.in, we strongly suggest you first send a formal Legal Notice to:

Response from Tripifive Travel Agency

We take every customer complaint seriously, and we thank the platform for bringing this to our attention so we could look into it thoroughly.

Upon receiving this complaint, we conducted a detailed review of all our booking, payment, and itinerary records for Himachal Pradesh tours (Manali, Kasol, and Shimla) for the month of March 2026. This included a search across our booking database, payment gateway records, GST invoices, and customer communication logs by name, phone number, and email. We have not been able to locate any booking, payment, or customer interaction matching the details mentioned in this complaint.

We want to be clear that we do not take allegations of this nature lightly, particularly given the reputational and financial harm a claim of this magnitude (₹10,30,000) can cause a small travel business. At the same time, we recognise that genuine service issues do occasionally happen, and if this complaint is based on an actual booking, we want to resolve it fairly.

We therefore request the complainant to kindly share their booking confirmation, payment receipt, or any official communication with our team so that we can verify and address this promptly. Our customer care contact details are available on our official website, www.tripifive.com.

In the absence of such verification within a reasonable time, we reserve the right to treat this as an unsubstantiated claim and to pursue appropriate remedies to protect our business and the trust of our genuine customers.

We remain committed to transparency, accountability, and fair resolution for every genuine customer concern, and we thank our customers and partners for their continued trust in Tripifive.

Subject: Urgent Follow-Up – Request for Verification / Action on Unsubstantiated Complaint

Dear Consumer Court Advisor Team,

This is a follow-up to our response posted on Wednesday regarding the complaint titled “Tripifive Travel Agency Scammed Us in Himachal Tour in 2026 March.”

We have not received any response or clarification from the complainant or the forum till date.

As already stated in our previous response, we conducted a detailed review of our booking records, payment gateway records, GST invoices, and customer communication records. We have been unable to identify any booking, payment, or customer interaction matching the allegations made in the complaint.

We therefore requested the complainant to provide basic documentary evidence, such as:

• Booking confirmation
• Payment receipt / transaction proof
• Invoice
• Official communication with Tripifive
• Any document establishing that the complainant actually booked and paid for the alleged tour

However, no such verification or supporting documentation has been provided to us so far.

Meanwhile, the complaint continues to remain publicly visible and contains serious allegations against our business and its representative. This is causing ongoing reputational and business damage, particularly because prospective customers can find this complaint while searching for Tripifive online.

We respectfully request the forum to not allow serious allegations to remain presented as established facts without supporting evidence, particularly when the business has specifically disputed the existence of the alleged transaction.

We therefore request:

1. Kindly ask the complainant to provide documentary proof supporting the allegations.

2. If the complainant is unable to substantiate the complaint, kindly remove the complaint or clearly mark it as unverified/disputed.

3. Kindly review the statements made against the owner/representative of Tripifive, as these are serious allegations which have been expressly disputed by us.

We would like to make it clear that we are not requesting preferential treatment or suppression of any genuine customer grievance. If the complainant can establish that they genuinely booked with Tripifive and can provide supporting documentation, we are fully prepared to investigate and address the matter on its merits.

However, in the absence of any corresponding booking or payment record on our side, and in the absence of documentary verification from the complainant, continuing to prominently display these allegations is causing substantial and continuing damage to our business and reputation.

We therefore request your urgent review and appropriate action at the earliest.

We reserve all rights and remedies available to us in relation to any false, misleading, defamatory, or unsubstantiated statements causing damage to our business or reputation.

Regards,

Tripifive Tours
