I purchased Apple EarPods (USB-C) through Amazon India under Order ID 408-6362689-0452366 on 29 April 2026 for ₹1,649.
Upon receiving the package on 4 May 2026, I observed several irregularities in the packaging that raised concerns regarding the authenticity and condition of the product. As a long-time Apple user, I was not confident that the product matched the expected retail packaging. Therefore, I did not open, use, activate, or tamper with the item.
I immediately initiated a return request. Amazon accepted the return, arranged pickup on 5 May 2026, and the return tracking shows that the item was received by Amazon on 9 May 2026.
Despite receiving the returned item, Amazon has not processed my refund. The refund page states that there is an issue with the refund and that additional information is required. However, no clear explanation or evidence has been provided to justify withholding my refund.
I contacted Amazon customer support multiple times seeking clarification and resolution. Unfortunately, I experienced excessive delays and did not receive a satisfactory response regarding the denial of my refund.
I returned the product in the same condition in which it was delivered. Since Amazon accepted and received the return, withholding the refund without a clear and reasonable explanation amounts to unfair treatment of a consumer.
