Facts of the Case:

That the Complainant purchased a RO Water Purifier from the Opposite Party on 02/09/2025 for a total consideration of ₹4000.

At the time of purchase, the Opposite Party clearly assured the Complainant that the RO water purifier carried a complete one-year warranty/guarantee, under which any internal or external part, including but not limited to light, filters, membrane, pump, or any internal component, would be replaced free of cost in case of failure or defect.

Relying on the above assurance, the Complainant purchased the RO system.

However, on 05/01/2026, within the warranty period, the filter (mention part name) of the RO system stopped working / became defective.

When the Complainant contacted the Opposite Party for warranty service, the Opposite Party refused to replace the defective part free of cost and instead demanded money for replacement, stating that the said part is not covered under warranty.

The act of the Opposite Party is illegal, arbitrary, and amounts to deficiency in service and unfair trade practice, as defined under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

Due to the false assurances and refusal of warranty service, the Complainant has suffered mental harassment, inconvenience, and financial loss.
