Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to formally bring to your notice the serious inconvenience and hardship caused due to the prolonged delay in replacement of the battery of my Ola Electric Scooter (Regn No: XXXX), purchased on 09 May 2023.

From May 2025, I started facing drastic battery range drop. Upon visiting the Ola Authorized Service Centre at Padi, Chennai, I was informed that cell balancing had failed and that the battery was defective and required complete replacement. I was assured that the replacement battery would be supplied from Ola’s Future Factory, Hosur within 10–15 days in early November 2025.

Based on this assurance, I handed over my scooter to the service centre on 23 October 2025. However, till date, the battery has not been replaced and my vehicle has not been returned. Every week I visit the service centre, I am only given false assurances that the vehicle will be delivered “next week”.

My scooter is currently lying outside the service centre without proper care or maintenance, despite being well maintained by me earlier. There has been no proper response from customer support and my emails and follow-ups have gone unanswered.

Due to this prolonged and unjustified delay, I have been deprived of the use of my vehicle for several months. My daily travel has been severely disrupted, causing me mental stress and financial loss, as I have been spending approximately ₹200–₹300 per day on alternative transport.

This clearly amounts to deficiency in service and unfair trade practice. I therefore request you to kindly:

  1. Replace the defective battery and deliver my scooter in proper working condition immediately, and
  2. Provide reasonable compensation(150,000) for the mental agony, inconvenience, and financial loss caused due to this prolonged delay.
If the matter is not resolved at the earliest, I will be constrained to pursue legal remedies before the Hon’ble Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission.

I request your urgent intervention in this matter.
