March 2023:
Course Discovery and Initial Contact: I discovered the Crio course online. Initial discussions began with the Skill-Lync team, including Astha Mishra (9569793320) and Aditya Sharma (9872445075). The offering was positioned as a program in partnership with Crio.Do.20 March 2023 at 01:26 PM:
I pay my initial amount of Rs. 1000/- and confirm my slot of registration. Payment screenshot has been attached with UTR number.
20 March 2023 at 03:15 PM:
Offer Email Received (Job Guarantee): Email from Aditya Sharma (aditya.sharma@skill-lync.com) received. Subject: **CRIO Program Certification | | Job Guarantee Batch | Skill-Lync Scholarship
21,22 March 2023:
Initial Payment via UPI QR: I initiated the payment process by scanning a UPI QR code provided by the Opposite Party. I paid a total of ₹5,000.00 upfront—comprising an initial ₹1,000.00 followed by a subsequent payment of ₹4,000.00
Loan Facilitation: Immediately following this initial payment, the Skill-Lync team facilitated a loan for the remaining balance.
EMI Deductions: Consequently, a monthly EMI of ₹8,182.00 began being deducted directly from my bank account.
23 March 2023 at 11:12 AM:
Welcome & Confirmation of Partnership. Crio.Do (in partnership with Skill-Lync) sent a welcome email to me, confirming the admission to the 'Fellowship Premium Program'.
Subject: Congratulations Mayank and Welcome to the Crio's Fellowship Program in Software Development in Partnership with Skill Lync.
Key Point: Stated admission to "Crio's Fellowship Premium Program in Software Development" and detailed the "Crio placement guarantee" of 4-6 LPA CTC.
September to November 2023:
Deficiency in Service and Failure to Provide Support: I repeatedly tried to contact the Crio and Skill-Lync teams by phone and email to cancel my enrollment because I was not receiving the promised educational benefits. The teaching method used was ineffective, making the material impossible to understand. When I raised tickets for help, the teams failed to provide proper remedial support or personalized guidance. There was absolutely no one-on-one communication, which was promised when I signed up. Despite these failures, your teams refused to cancel my registration or provide a way to close the course.
Forced EMI Continuation due to Legal Threats. Due to the failure of the Opposite Party to respond to cancellation requests, I purposefully delayed one EMI payment and withheld another EMI for one month. This attempt to get a response from Crio/Skill-Lync failed. Instead, the NBFC partner (Eduvanz) began making repeated calls and threatening legal notices to the Complainant. Facing severe stress and legal threats,I was forced to resume EMI payments to prevent financial and legal consequences, despite not receiving the promised service.
4 July 2024 at 1:49 AM:
Demand for Full Refund (Course is USELESS). I formally demanded a full fee refund, citing the failure to provide the promised "guarantee placement batch" and adequate support. I explicitly stated that the course was "USELESS".
4 July 2024 at 1:49 AM:
Auto-Reply Received: Email from Crio Help Center acknowledging the query and creation of ticket #228165.
4 July 2024:
Refusal to Refund & Imposing Conditions: Crio Help Center denied the refund, citing a no-refund & no-cancellation policy (Section 7) and claiming Career Services were unavailable because the user had not completed a "mandatory set of sprints" (6 sprints were incomplete). This constitutes unilateral imposition of terms after the failure to deliver the primary guaranteed service.
5 July 2024 (8:25 PM):
I replied, stating I was "totally" frustrated by the lack of EMI/course support, had "stopped giving EMI," and would "file a case" against you.
8 July 2024 (3:03 PM):
Evasion of EMI Responsibility: Crio Help Center replied, stating they "cannot interfere with the EMI process," passing the burden of the financial arrangement onto the user and the NBFC partner, despite the EMI being used to pay the course fee.
9 July 2024 at 3:47 PM:
Final Denial of Cancellation: Crio Help Center sent a final email stating: "We will not be able to assist you with a cancellation of your program."
10 October 2024 at 1:59 PM:
EMI Default Notice & Threat of Service Restriction. Skill-Lync sent an 'Urgent' EMI Payment Reminder threatening restricted access to the course and services due to the payment default. I replied asking them to "Please block my course access if you can", showing total loss of faith and willingness to exit the program.
25 November 2024 at 12:11 PM:
Repeated Evasion on Career Services & Complainant's Stance. The Opposite Party repeated the conditional requirement (6 incomplete sprints) for Career Services, completely ignoring the Complainant’s formal refund and cancellation request from months earlier. I submit that these sprints were not completed specifically because I already decided not to continue with the course due to the deficiency in service and misleading promises, which was conveyed to the Opposite Party months earlier.
5 December 2024 (12:41 PM):
Final Evasive Communication: Aastha Soni reiterated the strict no-refund & no-cancellation policy and committed only to helping the user complete the curriculum, failing to acknowledge the fundamental breach of the Job Guarantee that induced the enrollment.
