Subject: Complaint regarding unfair denial of policy cancellation and refund.
Respected Members of the Commission,
I am writing this complaint to bring to your notice the mental and financial stress caused to me by Star Health and Policybazaar.
On [Date], I bought a Star Health Super Star through Policybazaar .Policy No: 4991112600045075. I chose the EMI option and have paid 5 monthly installments so far, totaling ₹13,755.
Due to star health insurance company claim not accepted and financial issues, I decided I no longer wanted the policy. I contacted both Star Health and Policybazaar to cancel it and requested a refund for the eligible portion of my money. However, they have been giving me the run-around. They told me no refund is possible at all.
I feel cheated as a customer. I am not asking for the full amount back, but I am legally entitled to a fair cancellation process and a refund of the unused premium. By refusing this, they are forcing me to stay in a contract I don't want, which is an unfair trade practice.
I request the Hon’ble Commission to help me with the following:
