I renewed my furniture rental for 3 items from Furlenco by paying upfront for 6 months in May. The rental term for these six months after the existing rental term was to begin in June. In the end of July, I unexpectedly had to vacate my rented apartment in 5 days due to the owner falling into legal trouble. Since I was already in mental distress due to the unplanned shifting of houses, the monetary weight it had put on me - I started scheduling relocation for all rented items I had from different service providers, Furlenco being one of them. I was particularly stress free about Furlenco because of the 6 month term that I had paid for upfront, I had only used the items for two months which meant once the relocation was scheduled on their end (which they promise to do upto once a year within the same city), I would still have 4 months left on my furniture lease. It was one less expense. However, all the other similar rental apps offered seamless relocation services as usual but Furlenco refused relocation saying they were under maintenance/service was temporarily stopped. I had to cancel my lease and send the 3 items back as a last resort. At the initial time of me renting these products, they had promised relocation- now that these products have been returned (which I had to do under duress considering they were not giving me the option to relocate them), I would atleast get my 4 months remaining rent back. I was wrong, they have blatantly refused to release my payment even though it was them who out put me in this situation. This is thievery and has cause me immense distress when I was already very mentally distressed due to my monetary losses incurred as a result of my unplanned moving of houses. They have deliberately created this situation to refuse relocation so they hold my payment saying I closed my subscription before end of term. They are scamming people everyday this way since I have seen countless accounts of such activities on their end online through other users.
