I was cheated by a company called Geeklurn, which promised to help me secure a job in the Data Science field upon successful completion of their course.

Since the course fees were very high, I was initially unwilling to enroll. However, the company assured me that they would arrange an education loan on my behalf and provide me with a scholarship. They specifically promised that the scholarship amount would be credited to my bank account before each EMI due date so that I would not have to bear the repayment burden. As promised, I received the scholarship for the first three months.

After that, the scholarship payments stopped. Whenever I contacted the company, they kept giving different reasons for the delay and repeatedly assured me that the issue would be resolved, but no further payments were made.

I am the victim in this matter. As can be seen from my bank statement, I never received the loan amount in my personal bank account. Instead, the entire loan amount was transferred directly to Geeklurn's account. I also did not approach Piramal Finance directly for the loan. I was informed by Geeklurn employees that the loan had been approved through Financepeer, and all the loan-related formalities were handled by them.

I request that these facts be taken into consideration, as I was induced to enroll in the course based on false promises and misleading representations regarding the scholarship and loan arrangement.
I have attached the necessary documents. Please check and respond. I would also kindly request you to transfer the case filed to me, Bangalore, as I am from a middle-class background, it is highly impossible for me to visit Kolkata.

As per your submission, you were approached by Geeklurn with promises of guaranteed job placement in the Data Science field upon successful completion of their course. Since the course fee was very high and beyond your means, you were initially reluctant to enroll. However, the company assured you that they would arrange an education loan on your behalf through Financepeer and also provide a scholarship, with the scholarship amount to be credited directly to your bank account before each EMI due date so that you would not have to bear the repayment burden personally.

Based on these assurances, you enrolled in the course. As promised, you received the scholarship for the first three months. However, after that the scholarship payments stopped entirely. Despite repeated follow-ups, the company kept offering different explanations for the delay without making any further payments.

You have also highlighted that the entire loan amount of ₹2,80,000 was transferred directly to Geeklurn's account and never credited to your personal bank account, which is clearly evident from your bank statement. You did not independently approach Piramal Finance for the loan; all loan formalities were handled exclusively by Geeklurn's employees, who informed you post-enrollment that the loan had been approved through Financepeer.

You have already filed an FIR in this matter and have attached the FIR copy along with Geeklurn's advertisement as supporting documents. You have also requested that the case be transferred to Bangalore, given your middle-class background and the financial difficulty of travelling to Kolkata.
