My friend and I planned a group trip available on Enlivetrips' website early in July 2025. Hence, we had a Discussion with their Agent on 16th July 2025, who told us it would cost us (7000+5%GST)x2, i.e., 15,750, and was asked to pay 4000 Advance for confirmation of the booking. We asked her over WhatsApp about how many people would be travelling, and she mentioned at least 10. Also, their terms and conditions imply that in case there are fewer than 10 members, the trip would be postponed. We made the advance payment, and the rest of the amount was paid a day before departure as per the Terms discussed.

The trip was planned to start on the 24th of July 2025 at night from the Kashmere Gate Bus Stand in Delhi,
As the day arrived me my friend and I reached the pickup point, we discovered that it was only 6, including us and the guide. We both were shocked, as we expected a group trip which was supposed to be an experience where we could blog about stories and tales we hear from people around the country.

We tried to reach out to the team and requested to postpone our trip, although we already had sanctioned holidays for the upcoming week, but we wanted to negotiate with them to postpone our trip. Surprisingly, we were treated pathetically at 9 pm at a bus stop, the lady who claimed to have all the authority in the company said that its our problem if we dont go and she would not do anything about it and then we were told that we should have gratitude that she is even talking to us at this hour, and later this lady intimidate us like "do whatever you can I dont care" and disconnected with well audible verbal abuse.

After listening to her, we were sure that we did not want to travel with them then or later. Therefore, we tried sending them emails for a refund, but they blocked our emails, and hence, we cannot even contact them anymore.

Now we seek Justice for our hard-earned Money, Time, Reputation, and self-respect, which were damaged.

Relevant Terms & Conditions (TAC)

The following conditions were shared by the company as part of the booking agreement:

> Trip will be postponed for coming weekend if number of people are below 10.

> We reserve the right to change the schedule/itinerary of the trip in any condition and no refund will be given in this situation.

> We reserve the right to terminate your trip on the spot on the grounds of misconduct or misbehave, no refund in such situations.

Basis for Grievance

My primary concern is based on the clause regarding the minimum number of people.

* Prior to booking, the agent mentioned a required minimum of at least 10 members for the trip to be confirmed.

* On the day of departure (24th July 2025), upon reaching the pick-up point, we discovered there were only 6 total participants, including us and the guide, which is well below the stated minimum of 10 for a confirmed trip.

* As per their own TAC, a trip with a low count is subject to postponement. Given the last-minute change in circumstance and the company's own terms, we sought to postpone or cancel and refund the trip.

* The company agent refused to negotiate, claimed to have "all the authority," and stated, "do whatever you can i don't care," before disconnecting and blocking our communication channels (emails and calls) after we requested a refund.

I have faced extreme harassment, including severe mental trauma, verbal abuse, by the authorised representative(AR) , and the humiliation of being stranded without shelter, food, or resources, deceived into a situation with no clear information. The blocking of my funds and false assurances, disrupted my life plans, causing long-term damages to my wellbeing and future.

The way the AR Spoke to me, on call, while I travelled miles away from home and raised a grievance of being deceived, while I was helpless, tarnished my self-respect limitlessly.

We are seeking a full refund of ₹15,750 because the company failed to meet the minimum participant number stated in their own terms, which was the basis of our booking, and then denied us any resolution.

Please let me know how to proceed.

We have few questions.

Reviewed the details, have you mentioned any where in the messages that if the No. of passengers would be less then 10, you will cancel the trip and the company have to refund the amount.

And why you did not cancel the trip ?

Thank you for your response.

We would like to clarify that we did not initiate or communicate any cancellation in advance, as we did not anticipate that a professional organization would proceed with such a low number of travelers. Even upon learning about the limited group strength at the departure point and time, our intention was not to cancel but to request a rescheduling of our itinerary.

Unfortunately, the response we received was disappointing and led us to reconsider any future engagement with the organization. Despite our efforts to reach out to the concerned authorities for a resolution, the communication over calls was met with arrogance and disregard. Subsequently, our emails were blocked, leaving us with no channel for further correspondence.

We hope this provides clarity on our position and the circumstances surrounding the issue.
