I'm not able to use Airtel 4G service even when I've active 4G plan and compatible handset. I escalated that to customer care, then appellate authority and at last nodal officer. But no one is resolving the problem, they're raising service requests one after one and closing them automatically. Please look into it.

My recharge plan is RS 799/- for 84 days, now this issue which is stopping me from accessing mobile internet at all and bounding to have very poor quality calls, incurs a loss of RS 143.5/- as issue persists for 15 days now.

  1. Verify SIM and Network Settings
    • Make sure your SIM is inserted in the 4G compatible SIM slot (some phones have dual SIMs but only one supports 4G).
    • Go to Settings > Mobile Network > Preferred Network Type and ensure 4G/LTE is selected.
    • Toggle Airplane mode ON and OFF to refresh network connection.
    • Try your SIM in another 4G phone to confirm it’s not handset-related.
  2. Visit Airtel Store or Service Center
    • Sometimes network issues or SIM faults need physical verification. Visit your nearest Airtel store and request a SIM replacement or technical check.
  3. Send a Written Complaint to Airtel
    • Send a written complaint via email to Airtel’s customer grievance department: customercare@airtel.comor use their official website contact form.
    • Include your phone number, plan details, problem description, and previous complaint references.
  4. File a Complaint with TRAI or Consumer Forum
    • If Airtel fails to resolve in 7 days, lodge a complaint with TRAI’s complaint portal: https://trai.gov.in/trai-consumer-complaints
    • You can also file a complaint with your local consumer court citing deficiency of service and financial loss.
  5. Use Social Media Escalation
    • Tweet tagging @Airtel_Presence and @TRAI asking for resolution.
    • Sometimes social media escalation triggers faster responses.
