I made a booking via MakeMyTrip in December 2025, which was cancelled at the airline (Indigo), making me eligible for a full refund.

For several months (7 months to be precise), I have repeatedly contacted MakeMyTrip regarding this matter. Initially, I was informed that IndiGo had not processed the refund. However, after obtaining confirmation directly from IndiGo via e-mail, MakeMyTrip acknowledged that they had indeed received the refund from the airline.

Shockingly, MakeMyTrip has now refused to refund my money solely on the ground that “too much time has passed.” This delay is entirely attributable to MakeMyTrip’s own failure to process the refund despite my continuous follow-ups since December 2025. A company cannot retain a customer’s money because of delays caused by its own inaction.

By withholding funds that rightfully belong to me after admitting receipt of the refund from the airline, MakeMyTrip has engaged in a clear deficiency in service and an unfair trade practice.
