I am satheesh from Irinjalakuda,Trichur Dist,Kerala . We, a family of 4 persons, travelled to Thailand on an Air Asia flight at 11:30 PM on 24th May and returned on an Air Asia flight at 10:30 PM on 29th May. The tour was conducted through Global Travels and Tours, which has offices in Kochi and Kannur. The tour package started at ₹59,500, but finally, we booked it for ₹63,370 per person (all inclusive). However, when I reached Cochin Airport, they told me that 20 kg luggage charges were not added to the ticket. This caused me severe mental distress at that time. We had to remove clothes from all four of our bags and reduce the luggage to 20 kg. For the return ticket, they included the luggage charges. After returning from the tour, when I asked them to refund the luggage charges, they refused. Before the tour, I had asked them multiple times whether 20 kg luggage was booked. They said it would be displayed on the screen at the ticket counter. While booking the ticket, they collected an amount from me for each person that was more than the excess amount over the flight charges. For TCS charges, they first asked me to pay an additional ₹1,500. When I did not agree, they finally said ₹640 per head would be enough. Till date, they have not sent me the TCS certificate. I paid ₹7,286 to Air Asia as luggage charges. Request: Please direct the travel agency to refund the above-mentioned amount to me.Want me to draft this as a formal legal notice to Global Travels and Tours? I can make it ready to send.
