Hello Team,

I am entitled to get a refund from MakeMyTrip as the airline downgraded their aircraft on the day on travel without prior notification for which they compensate and agreed to give 75% of the ticket amt back as a refund and have sent it to travel provider MakeMyTrip after a week of travel. MakeMyTrip received the refund from Airline however still haven’t refunded it back to me and it’s been over 3months now. I have been calling them and writing them emails and raising tickets and complaints but they don’t seem to respond and resolve. They say they have sent to claim team and the refund is processed however I have not received even single rupee from them.

Date of travel : 26 January 2026
Payment from credit card through GPay
Refund sent to MakeMyTrip by Airline on feb 6th 2026
No refund has been issued to me by MakeMyTrip until today April 18th 2026

I am so tired of calling them everyday and then they don’t resolve and put my call on hold and never get back. PLEASE HELP

We are outlining the first step to be taken before filing a case in the Consumer Forum.

Please follow the steps mentioned below. If you have already contacted the Make my Trip customer care via email and have not received any response, kindly share the relevant details with us so that we may guide you further.

We recommend that you first send an email to the customer care department of the Make my Trip (grievanceofficer@makemytrip.com), clearly outlining your concerns and requesting for Compensation and also ask them to Refund the amount.

This step not only gives the Make my Trip a chance to compensate and refund but also helps strengthen your case if you decide to file a complaint with the Consumer Forum later..

You can also send Legal Notice via registered post at Make my Trip Head Office.
