Respected Sir/Ma'am,

I Mr. Abishiek Gunda, I am using SBI IRCTC Credit Card from 13th Apr 2017 to Till Date. For this will booking any train tickets with IRCTC for every 3Tier AC/ 2 Tier AC or other AC Tickets I use to get 1 reward points on the Booking Amount. For the year 13th Apr 2017 to 14th Apr 2021.(For this period I have utilized only 1907 points i.e., 1907 Rs. Later my loyalty account was inactive due to no amounts paid by SBI to IRCTC Loyalty team.

After several discussions with the SBI Card team and the IRCTC Loyalty team. i came to notice that IRCTC Loyalty team not received annual fee from SBI Card teams, but SBI as per my SBI, every yearly statement, they charge annual fee & same I am paying every year.

After talking to SBI Card team they have transferred 12,209 points to IRCTC Team and I can see only 51 points., here I am losing nearly 12000 rs.

So many points have expired from 14th Apr 2021 to till date due to my IRCTC Loyalty account was inactive the issue is from SBI Card.

Here I am not getting any support from all the customer care people & no one is giving proper response & Resolving the issue. But I am losing amount.

Kindly request to help in this issue resolving. 12000/- is a very big amount for common man.

Thanks & Regards,
Abisheik Gunda

Hello @abishiek gunda

I'm sorry to hear about the difficulties you've encountered with your SBI IRCTC Credit Card's loyalty points. Based on the information you've provided, it appears that despite paying annual fees, your loyalty account became inactive due to SBI not transferring the requisite amounts to the IRCTC Loyalty team. This has resulted in a significant loss of approximately ₹12,000 worth of reward points. Let's address your concerns systematically and outline the steps to seek redressal.

📝 Summary of Your Complaint

  • Complainant: Abishiek Gunda

⚖️ Legal Perspective

Under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, consumers are entitled to services that are free from deficiencies. The failure to credit loyalty points, despite charging annual fees, constitutes a deficiency in service and unfair trade practice.
