Hello Sir/Madam

We applied for the loan of ₹25,000,00/- (Twenty-Five Lakhs Only) under the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) for the purpose of establishing a snacks manufacturing factory and selected “Bank of India” as the nearest bank branch.

prior to approval of the loan, the survey/inspection staff of the Reliance General Insurance, visited the proposed factory site “Brasmaiya Road, near Railway Fatak, Post Isri Bazar, Police Station Nimiyaghat, District Giridih, Jharkhand – 825167” for the verification of factory site and other documents and final assessment. The same factory address is also mentioned on the Loan Proposal Form.

in the month of June 2024, after the installation of the machines, the survey staff of the Reliance General Insurance visited the factory premises for inspection and took photographs of the machines and the factory solely for the purpose of insurance documentation and verification.

on 28th May 2025, at around 11:00 PM, a fire broke out in the factory due to a short circuit, as a result of which all raw materials, finished goods, machinery, and other assets lying in the factory premises were completely destroyed, causing total and irreparable loss.

We received an email from the Reliance General Insurance stating that “due to discrepancy of risk location from actual loss location, subject claim does not stand to be admissible and payable as per policy terms and conditions and accordingly, policy liability will not attach.”
