I am having Demat account with ICICI Direct since 2016 and my saving account is linked with that account. Now in last week they have raised a bills for Demat AMC charges from 2018 to 2025 worth Rs.6500 aprx and Rs. 3000 debited directly from my saving account without prior intimation. In fact during that period I had sufficient balance in the account. They could have charged the bills that time only, now after eight years they realised that they have not raised the bill’s. Now the status is I am a retired person having no recurring income and Rs 3000 deposited in the account by me was the backup fund for my pilgrim visit, because of this debit I could not withdraw amount from my gpay account.
I therefore resort do the needful. Also note that fund value in the account is only Rs 300.

Before proceeding further, we recommend that you first send a WhatsApp request (8640086400) and email at (customer.care@icicibank.com) to the customer care department of the ICICI Direct, clearly outlining your concerns and requesting to provide the complete details about the amount debited from your account.

This step not only gives the ICICI Direct a chance to address the issue but also helps strengthen your case if you decide to file a complaint with the Consumer Forum later.
