I, H S Abzal Basha, purchased Samsung Galaxy F06 5G (Lit Violet, 128GB) on 17-12-2025 through Flipkart Internet Private Limited, Order ID: OD436280460623541100, for Rs. 9,357/-.
Along with the handset, I also purchased Complete Mobile Protection Plan (Accidental Damage Protection) from Jeeves Consumer Services Pvt. Ltd. vide Invoice No. EAAAAD000904352 dated 17-12-2025 for Rs. 149/-.
The IMEI number of the device is: 354190291938265.
Subsequently, when the device developed issues covered under the protection plan, I raised a valid claim with Jeeves. After technical inspection, I was informed that the device cannot be repaired. However, instead of providing proper settlement as per the protection plan terms (repair/replacement/full eligible claim value), the company is offering only Rs. 4,678.50 as a refund.
This amount is arbitrary, unjustified, and not in accordance with the coverage promised under the Complete Mobile Protection Plan. No transparent calculation or policy clause has been properly explained for reducing the claim amount.
Despite repeated communications, the company is attempting to close the claim by forcing a partial refund, which amounts to:
Deficiency in service
Unfair trade practice
Failure to honor contractual obligations
Mental harassment and financial loss
I purchased the protection plan in good faith to safeguard against accidental damage. Denial of proper claim settlement defeats the very purpose of the protection plan and violates consumer rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
