I came across the bookleaf publishers ad on facebook and undertook the 21 day publication challenge after paying a registration fee of rs.1999.on submission i was given an offer of priority publishing within 15-20 days for which i paid additional fee of rs.8899 which was paid on June 3rd 2025. its been over a month and there is no update on book. i raised a ticket twice only to be told they will escalate the issue and will get in touch soon but till date there is no contact from any staff regarding the book.i would like to have full refund of the publication fee since they didnt stick to the deadline.since it was sharktank approved i submitted to it regret the decision seek refund of total amount

I am glad to see that you are willing to take some action. I had a bitter experience with BookLeaf after paying Rs 38,000/ to them on 10 March. to publish my book. I now filed a complaint in teh Nashik Consumer Court for refund + damages. The case is awaiting hearing in the court. I didn't hire a lawyer. I did teh paper work myself and I am sure I can argue my case in the court because truth is on my side.
Because of my experience, I don't think it is cyber crime. I suggest that you serve a notice as per consumer protection act for full refund. Send it by Regd Post to the two regd addresses ( Delhi and Srinagar) on their website, end a scanned copy to all the email addresses you have of anyone in BookLeaf and raise a ticket also. If they don't refund within 30 days, file a compliant in consumer court.
