Respected Sir/Madam,
I am writing to formally lodge a complaint against Goibibo for deficiency in service and unfair trade practice.
I had booked an international flight ticket (Booking ID: GOFLISTAIJ5Z5323115) from Chennai to Melbourne scheduled on 19 February 2026 for ₹44,797.

On 16 February, I received an official email from Goibibo confirming that my ticket had been converted into an open ticket valid for 1 year, allowing me to rebook at any time.

Following this, I made continuous follow-ups with their support team. During this period, I was repeatedly given false assurances that rebooking was possible, which led me to delay making alternative arrangements.
However, after making me wait for nearly a month, Goibibo suddenly informed me that:
  • The ticket cannot be rebooked
  • No refund will be provided
Due to this misleading information and delay, I am now being forced to book a new ticket at a significantly higher price, causing an additional financial burden of approximately ₹1,00,000.
This situation has arisen solely because of the Opposite Party’s failure to honor their written commitment and their repeated false assurances.
Issues Faced:
